We are dedicated to promoting the health, safety and welfare of the Tucker community by preserving its small town atmosphere; enhancing a sense of community; maintaining the integrity of residential areas; assisting in the improvement of existing commercial areas; monitoring land use, planning, zoning and other issues affecting Tucker; and informing the community about these issues.

TCA Annual Meeting, Monday, Feb 25th

The Tucker Civic Association will hold its annual membership meeting on Monday, Feb. 25, in the Tucker High School cafetorium. Please arrive by 6:45 pm, so we can get everyone checked in & start right at 7.

We will begin with a one-hour Issues Update for the community. State Senator Steve Henson and State Representative Kevin Levitas will address issues in this year’s legislature. The issues include proposed changes in property tax, sales tax, “last call” pouring curfew for bars and clubs, incorporation and township, and other issues affecting Tucker residents. There will be an opportunity for Q & A. We have also asked many government officials and agencies to supply written updates on a variety of issues affecting Tucker.

At 8pm we will begin the Tucker Civic Association business meeting, including presentation of TCA Member of the Year Award, election of officers for 2008-09 (members should have already received a newsletter with the slate of nominees), voting on on a proposed amendment to the bylaws to replace the Fund Raising Committee with a Public Safety Committee.
